I have painted this area of the Kennebecasis numerous times.  I am so fortunate to live within a five minute walk of this view at the bottom of the Cameron Road, Rothesay, New Brunswick. The sunsets here are breathtaking and the whole world seems to pause as the beauty unfolds. This is where I go to find peace. It has been my "happy place" for most of my life.

I have used a combination of acrylic paint and ink on this work. The trees are worked with both paint on a brush and acrylic ink blown through a straw, a technique I have been using for quite a few years now. As usual I have taken a lot of artistic licence with the placement of trees etc. to create the best painting I could. I prefer to capture my feelings and emotions regarding a landscape, rather that make a photo-type copy of a scene. I hope you enjoy viewing this work.
