I am still loving the oil paints. I've been wanting to paint a foggy seascape for quite a while now. I was worried about creating a good composition with such vague subject matter but with a few adjustments to the actual scene, I feel I was able to create what I wanted.
Fog is something we have very often where I live. It can be a little damp and unpleasant but I love the mystery of being in the fog. Watching it roll in over the bay and becoming wrapped in the fog can be very soothing and comforting and I wanted to paint a little tribute to the fog.
This painting is on regular canvas and is framed in a wooden frame I hand painted and wax finished.
