My friend Paul grew these next to the studio last summer. I added the bachelor buttons to the painting because I love seeing them with the poppies. The old shingles have a lot more wear in real life but I didn't want to make the shingles so busy that they took away from the flowers.
I love having gardens around me. Having a painting of a garden makes me happy all year long.
