I have been meaning to paint this scene for a long time now. There's something so appealing about the hard perspective on the wharf contrasted with the natural shapes of the sea and the rocks and then the houses and trees.
Everything is back lit as the day is coming to a close. The light is giving us one last dance on the water before the day starts to become the night. When I see something like this, I feel blessed to live in such a wonderful world.
Like the others in this series, this painting will be framed in a custom black wooden frame and the back will be left open so you can see the tile.
