McLaren's Beach is such a beautiful and sometimes, wild spot on the Bay of Fundy. Many of us who grew up in Saint John learned how to swim in this cold water. There are a host of beach stones covering most of the beach, also a bit of clay. As children we would roll in the clay until we were covered. Back into the cold water we went to clean up. Whenever I visit here, it brings back memories of a simpler time. A family day at the beach with a picnic lunch was a weekly occurrence in our home. I am so grateful to my parents for allowing us to create such cherished memories.
