It seems like a silly time of the year to paint Christmas paintings but I am so busy with commission work and appointments just before the holidays, there never seems to be time. In January, I still can observe the snow and most of the decorations, actually making it an ideal time for me to paint the Christmas sights.
This is the flower shop around the corner from my studio, Kierstead's. They have wonderful flowers and the most incredible window decorations. The shop is so beautifully lit on the cold dark winter nights.
