I went for a walk the other day and these flowers just seemed to follow me back to the studio from the florist around the corner. I decided to do a playful semi-abstract painting of them in front of the rainy window. I had so much fun painting this one. It just seemed to go together on it's own. It makes me smile every time I look at it.
Painted on a professional gallery wrap canvas the work was roughed in with artist quality acrylis and after it dried was finished with water soluable oil paints. The painting continues loosely around the sides and there is some light texture on the vase and flowers. The work is designed to hang without a frame and all hanging hardware is attached.
