Feeling a little free and wild while I painted this one. I love making flower arrangements and giving them to people I care about. Instead of getting a prearranged posy at the florists, my husband gave me quite a bit of money and said, "Make as many arrangements as your heart desires". This was one of 9 or 10 flower arrangements that I made and it ended up staying in the studio because as soon as it was done, I started painting it even before I cleaned up the flower arrangement mess.
This painting is on gallery wrap canvas and the painting continues around the sides. I've deliberately painted the flowers, background and lace curtains in a rather expressionist manner. These flowers were a lot of fun to me and I wanted a fun painting. It's a little more whimsical than some of my works but I hope you like it!
